BenMarco Malbec de Los Chacayes
Los Chacayes is a fantastic region which personally thrills me. Because of its climate, it could be labeled as Gualtallary’s younger sibling. Its particular weather conditions and its colluvial soils allows us to get good and ripe Malbecs with distinctive characteristics that reflects Los Chacayes’ landscape.
Why did we choose Los Chacayes?
BenMarco is a tribute to our unique and diverse terroirs at the foothills of the Andes mountain range. Through minimal intervention winemaking, we maintain the pure expression of each variety and its place of origin.
BenMarco Malbec is made with grapes sourced from Los Chacayes, Valle de Uco, at 1,100 m.a.s.l. (3,600 ft.), planted in sandy and stony loam soil that guarantees good permeability, limits the plant growth and ensures perfect ripening.
This Malbec is a good testimony of Valle de Uco, endowed with aromas of black fruits, notes of violets, pronounced acidity, firm tannins and great length.
This wine is a great option to enjoy paired with grilled red meats, sausages, seasoned or roasted pork, hard cheeses or pasta with meat-based sauces.
