Edy del Pópolo
With more than 30 years of experience, Edgardo Del Pópolo is one of the most renowned and experienced Argentinian viticulturists. His endless curiosity, hard work and deep knowledge of Argentinian soils have gained him a strong reputation around the world.
With a highly specialized and technical formation, Edy is in a constant search for quality wines through quality vineyards. His ambition in the latest years: to achieve Argentina’s characterization of its terroirs and that the wines from each one of the sub-regions speak for themselves.
Edy studied enology and agronomy at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza. Since he graduated, he has travelled the wine world visiting old and new wine regions, as well as the most important wine markets. In addition, he participated in different tastings, seminars and conferences, road shows, wine clinics and tutored tastings.
Edy joined Susana Balbo’s team in 2013, as General Manager and viticulturist. He contributes with his experienced vision from the vineyard and is responsible for all of BenMarco wines.
